Everyone says to be happy,
But depression is all I've ever known.
At night my dreams are tortured,
By the demons who haunt my soul.
How can they ever see,
The rabid Hell I call my life?
How can they even know,
The emptiness of a lonely midsummer's night?
I try to appease their longings,
But it's so hard for me to do.
I really want to be happy,
If only to please you...
