I'm Back

Contributed by wachumiri on Thursday, 5th February 2004 @ 07:26:20 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

To you
This verse in rhyme I write

To tell you
The distance despite

I miss you, I love you, I need you

I thought I could
Like this survive
I thought I could
From this pain hide

It was not so

My sorrow surely surrounds me
Around me,
Blocking out the light
But then of you I catch a sight

A glimpse, a gleam, a glance
Yet it is all I need

The seed is sprouting strong
The seed of hope, hope of the day
When face to face
To you I’ll say

My Love, I’m back

Hope is all there is to cling to more often than not. Even when we have to accept that those we love will never be ours again, there is always hope to find love again. It may take a while to find it, but never give up.

Ann
