The Paradox Of Pages

Contributed by forever_lonely on Thursday, 5th February 2004 @ 05:21:39 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

To the fathers of all our misguided sons
To beginning of time, the ending of life
Disgraceful are these words that I speak
But when wasnt the truth so colourful?

Resting in a place where reality has no effect
Lay the open books of all our lives
Stained with the blood and the tears of regret
Placed on a page where words dont exist

Your tainted eyes skipping the pages
Of this this book that never ends
When will you realise, why wont you believe
The ending was never in your grasp

Searching within for this illusion to end
This novel of existence burning your soul
Closed will be the book that encircles your life
As it remembers the ink you stole from inside

Powerful are these words, that dont exist in time
A paradox of language, engraved upon this page
Within this sphere of lifes nonentity
Listening to the visions of a felo-de-se.

Excellently written and composed, I had to read a couple of times just so I could grasp the full detail of what you were trying to portray.
Very well done.

Luke...you've been posting some insanely good poems lately. This is one of the deepest, best written, and relatable poems i've seen you write. You have out done yourself, my friend.

Oh, and the last two lines were razor sharp...awesome.

Truly,
-V.S.

Grandiose in measure. Intrinsically woven with almost baroque imaginative prowesssssssssssss.

I like. I like a lot.
