Broken-Hearted Valentine

Contributed by Solmyr1404 on Thursday, 5th February 2004 @ 03:36:30 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

The day is fast approaching,
It celebrates couples everywhere.
Men buy rings and flowers
For their girlfriends or their wives.
Everybody's happy,
Everyone but me.
Because the day is Valentine's
And today I'm her
Broken-hearted Valentine.

To Her:

I told you I love you,
And you said the same,
But now you're gone
And with your leaving,
The sunshine follows, making way
For the rain.
Now I'm alone on this day I hat,
And today I hate it more;
I'm your broken-hearted Valentine.
