After you returned,
I thought that we would never be able,
to look at each other again.
That we couldn't see eye to eye.
Every time,
That I tried to get back in your life,
You slammed the door in my face.
But I couldn't give up,
I had to try just once more,
So I know if this is how it was meant to be,
Faith.
This time I tried something different,
Something that had more meaning than words.
Something filled with emotion,
That could fully express what my heart cried out.
It was a poem.
And how I cried,
For fear that this may be the last time,
I could connect with you.
But the door opened,
And there you stood.
Oh how I missed that smile upon your face,
My tears of pain subsided,
Replaced with those of sheer happiness.
Now month's have passed,
How time fly's when your with the people you love,
More than life itself.
Our friendship continues to grow,
Just like a fading echo.
And that poem,
With every second we share together,
Only continues to add words,
Your are my best friend.
