Pounded Thumb

A man and his hammer
It’s a beautiful thing
He says he can build stuff
But I’ll wait and see

No plans does he need
Just a general idea
Of where do you want it
He’ll put it right there

He’s got 37 sheets of paneling
A whole truckload I think
Each room needs redoing
He’ll be busy til spring

He swings his big hammer
It lands with a thud
The poor dear man
Has pounded his thumb

Be careful my dear - when you swing
I wouldn’t want you to - break anything

Oh Mer this is really funny, sadly it is true. My husband used to do the same thing, until he fell through the ceiling and nearly killed himself! When I was a widow I did all my repairs....believe it or not, woman sometimes are better.
This was hilarious....shouldn't laugh, Mer, but I've been there....just couldn't help myself.
Good Poem
