I pose a thought on which to dwell,
You have a fight with Grandma Belle,
And all the fighters go to huff,
Who's the first to say, "Enough"
Does age expect to get respect,
And thinks without, is pure neglect?
And right or wrong you must supine,
Before this aged porcupine.
This prickly ancient demands a thrown,
To look you down with acid tone,
Demand her tithe, between me and you,
Answer her with scowl in lieu.
My answer..it may be quite tight
Grandma Belle might be quite right,
A certain honor, she is due,
It's not a thing where she can sue.
If someone knows the answer, please,
Note the comment, us to sieze,
It's bothered me for many year,
You put the answer, I will cheer.

Grandma Bell has a right,
To want her dues through day and night.
For without the pleasure of her ancient ways,
I'd have no connection to my windowed ways!!!
Teehee!
Angel always...godspeed...~joni~ |

I hear you loud and clear, norm
I respected my Grandma dear,
but then I was taught to respect and revere
children are not taught these days.
Such a shame.....for the oldsters have
earned that respect!
I'm a grandma now, and it really makes
me miffed when they don't respect me too!
It's rather demeaning if you know what I mean!
Great Poem you wrote Norm
