Standing Still

Contributed by poetess730 on Thursday, 5th September 2002 @ 06:28:30 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

My world is standing still,
I don't know where to turn
I don't know what to do
to find what it is I yearn...

Can't move on in my life
If I keep clinging to the past
I try to change myself
but it seems to never last...

Just wanting to find love
but looking in all the wrong places
Just needing that one person
but still seeing the same faces...

I don't know what I'm doing wrong
can't seem to find a clue
Things seem to get quite rough
but I always seem to pull through...

I keep walking in a circle
not finding the beginning or the end
I keep getting my heart broken
not giving it a chance to mend...

When will I find the answers?
the key to what I need
When will I move on?
How will I succeed?

Take one step to your left or your right, and suddenly you are out of the circle. That's the wondorous thing about life, you can choose to change what's going wrong whenever you want to... every person is in charge of their own destiny! Don't give up girl!
