God Feeling

It's that "God feeling"
that defies my attempts of putting into words.
It's that "God feeling"
that is positively, definetely beyond all my words.
It's the joy welling up
inside of you.
It's that peace of mind
even when you don't know what to do.
It's that "God feeling"
soaking into your mind, soul, and heart.
It's that "God feeling"
giving you strength to keep from falling apart.
It's holding you when you're all alone,
comforting you in the dark night.
It's freeing you from your fragile fear,
fighting off those voices of evil with all it's might.
It's that "God feeling",
when it's like He's sitting right there beside you.
It's that "God feeling",
when you feel His Spirit moving too.
It's a peace like a baby asleep in your arms,
it's a comfort like a blanket on a cold night.
It's a contentment like all's right in the world,
it's joy like you could sing forever with all your might.
It's that "God feeling",
like He's wiped away your pain.
It's that "God feeling",
like He's there to heal your scars again.
It's what's quelling the voices inside,
when you're giving up your own way.
It's what's wwarming your world,
giving you your only big enough reason to stay.
It's that "God feeling",
that lets tears fall unchecked upon your face.
It's that "God feeling",
when you know someday you'll be in a better place.
It's so undescribably, unfathomable.
My human mind can't find a definition.
It's a feeling with no title,
but that opens the sould to recognition.
But it's not just the feeling,
it's the one behind.
For I've found feelings can't always be trusted
like the one behind.
Thank you for that "God feeling."
