Who am I you wonder,
past what you can see.
Let me explain to you some things,
of who I am indeed.
I could sit and say to you,
that I am courageous and brave.
I could fight the war of life,
a few lives could be saved.
My explanation to you could be,
that I am depressed and distraught.
I could also tell you I am a genius,
remembering everything I was taught.
I could tell you of my life,
and how my journies made me feel.
That would explain some things to you,
about wounds that can't be healed.
I could also sit and say,
that I am independent and bold.
But on the other side I am,
lonely without a hand to hold.
I might tell you I am a poet,
writing words that somehow rhyme.
Or that I am the gate keeper,
holding all sense of time.
So, you ask me who I am,
past what you can see?
Well, thee answer is quite simple.
Who am I? I'm me.
