A Change of Mind

A wasted plan,
destroyed and forgotten,
a brand new palete
to fill with colors
and ideas.

No more hopes to be together,
years of planning
changed and warped.

100 miles to remain between,
rare visits and phone calls,
a letter here and there.

Things shall go on
as they always have,
no more plans,
no more hopes.

Oh.... I know what it's like to be seperated from a friend like that (not by distance, mind, but by circumstances). It's rough. But I'm seeing my pal come Wednesday.... tomorrow I guess. Point is, there's always room for old friends to reaquaint.....
