Trapped

I hide in my security blanket of lies,
From you.
I may try to end my life,
Because of all the things I’ve done.
It’s hard to believe,
That now it’s me,
I’m the monster that I’ve been so scared of.
I’m not just a little girl inside,
Look deep within my eyes
And a devil you’ll see inside.
Be aware of my troubles,
Because who knows what I’m capable of.
I surprise myself each time.
I feed myself from your puddle of lies.
I see myself suffocating,
From the tortured soul I now call my own.
Your words linger in my ears,
As you make up the fairy-tale,
Called YOUR WORLD.
Your face is beautiful,
So unlike the inside.
So hide deep within you armor,
From reality and all you’ve done wrong.
No matter how hard you try,
I’ll never forget the creature you are,
Behind those hollow eyes.
No matter what,
The blood won’t come off your hands.
Why don’t tell everyone what you’ve done
To another weak human being?
Just because you can’t see me,
Doesn’t mean I’m not there.
I’ll haunt you forever,
Till my soul is free.
