Oblivion

Listen to what I say
Take this from someone
Who’s spent their entire life
Staring through the looking glass,
Watching in oblivion.
I’ve got this feeling,
This familiar desire
To be far away from here at last
But everywhere I seem to go,
These feelings inside follow not far behind.
I know there is no getting over you.
Here I go again,
Getting consumed by the emotions,
You’ve made me feel.
Once again you left without saying goodbye.
So may I ask,
When will this yearning subside?
How will these tears,
Ever come to an end?
You’ve left this gaping hole inside of me,
I’m running out of ways to make it go away.
I wish I didn’t love you so much,
And that you never strolled into my life.
It is not easy hating you so much.
Maybe it’s just me trying to get over you.
I need a new plan,
Cause this one isn’t working all too well.
Maybe you’ll hear these silent cries,
And come back to me.
All these arguments I have with myself,
Need to end.
If you knew what you’ve been putting me through,
You’d rescue me
And subside this nothingness, all these cries.
I love you too much.
With every breath I take, I know you’re too good for me
And it’d be wrong to not hide my love from you.
I’m destined to forever stare through this looking glass,
Watching my life slowly come to an end.
It’s okay,
It only hurts all the time.
Happy Valentine.

This is a sad display of pleading.
