Captain Political: A True American Idol

Contributed by Romantism202 on Tuesday, 3rd February 2004 @ 11:16:56 AM in AEST
Topic: political

I would just like to say that I’m proud to be Black,
And that I’ll sell my soul for gold,
Proud to be the past, present, and future,
For without me there would be no popular culture,
Because there would be nobody to mimic,

Call me a sellout or unpatriotic,
But I’m just keeping it real,
This isn’t intended to be so outspoken,
Not to mention that I’m being extremely political,
But like my beautiful African Princess said,
No more drama; That’s what we need,
To put an end to all this political jargon that kills for luxuries,

I’m sick of people being supported for educated stupidity,
Raping thirteen year old kids and killing cats as gangstas,
Yet when the skin is confused what color to screw up next,
Taking a woman’s gift to the world,
Abusing her total worth,
Yet he’s the greatest American Idol that ever lived,

I just can’t seem to understand it all,
Fake friends and alliances made in good will,
Only to be broken down with the best available hatred,
Patriotism and Racism celebrating your demise,
For it knows that you can’t realize,
That the things on your face have been closed,
And that you will never think to open them,

I feel Mary J on this one,
We don’t need no more drama,
For all the things that I have mentioned,
As well as the things that have gone unsaid,
Can cause me to get murdered,
For this is a example of the truth really hurting,
What most people don’t understand,
Is that this is worth dying for,
Because equality doesn’t have a price,
But when it comes to asking reality to what you want for Christmas,
It says that you haven’t been a good boy this year,

So while you wait for reality to check itself,
You begin to do some research of your own,
And when you finally come to a conclusion,
You realize that it should begin with yourself,

Stopping all the calling out of cats,
Like this is a pickup basketball game,
Because unlike that basketball game,
Nobody is going to be trying to block just one ball,
But many balls that are trying to help them win a championship,
Not commemorated in trophies or plaques,
But with the granting of a single wish,
The right to live in peace and prosperity,

At that point I will cease to exist,
For my mission will be completed,
Peace and prosperity will punk more than just a pen and paper,
And will find someone new to fall in love with other than politicians,
Human rights will not only apply to those privileged few of the world,
Highlighted by the fact that patriotism and racism’s game has been exposed,
By the fulfillment of previous agreements with humanity,
Just living in peace and harmony,
Wrapped in the comfort of this universal security,

That’s what I want more than anything else,
No more drama,
But a world full of love that has no suspense,
For suspense is for tv and movies,
And I’m not a member of either,
So reserve those gifts for Sarah Jessica Parker,
I have no need for their disrespectful love,
Because if I do,
Then I become a slave to their evil tendencies,
And I’m too damn proud to go out like that,

In short peace and equality have left me lonely,
Even when I constantly ask for their companionship,
Yet like the politicians who abuse them,
They just don’t give a *****,
So now I must fight for the ones that I love,
So the rest of the world can live peacefully,
