A gray day it was
Pale clouds stormed the wide sky
Frightened birds flock across the clouds
A bitter, chattering cold flew through the wind
Rain calmly rims the clouds
Weak trees sway, towering into the heavens
Silver dew clings to the emerald grass
Silent buildings stand-alone
A golden bolt of lighting strike through clouds
Roars of godly thunder ring in my head
At long last, the pulsating rain heavily trickles, seeping into the ground
A very gray day it was, stormy in its haven

You are really good at describing places and things. Keep writing.
Take care.
