What Do You Know About Glass?
-----------------------------------------------------------
Glass? Isn't it wonderful?
Keeps out the cold or hot;
Allows us to see our world;
Stained in such pretty colors.
There is another side to glass.
A darker side; not so pretty.
Jagged, sharp edges that cut;
Fine powerd grinding and brutal.
You're glass in my heart, my love.
Hard and clear, allowing me to see....
To see what is possible, might be.
Holding in or out the horrible cold.
Stained glass of a cathedral...
Warm, lovely, all embracing love.
Stained glass at the accident scene;
Red, dripping, slick with life slipping away.
Glass. Crystaly tulip shapes for wine;
Round, shining shapes for ornaments;
Jagged edges to slice and harm;
You're glass in my heart, my love.
