My heart wants to trust you,
but my mind tells me no...
I try hard not to care,
but my heart loves you so.
Can we really work this out?
Or will it always be the same?
Can we change the way we feel?
Or am I the one to blame?
I try so hard to let it go,
all the pain from the past.
My heart tells me no
and that it will never last.
I try my best to trust you,
my heart wants to believe.
My mind tells me to go,
just to turn around and leave.
How can I just forget,
all those years we spent?
How can I just let go
and spend my life in torment?
My mind leads the way
but my heart pulls me back in...
My mind tells me no,
but I think my heart will win.

| This feels like i am reading about myself except one bit of all those years spent..only because it is not years for me..but the rest like the first sentence got me straight away...my heart wants to trust you but my mind tells me no ..that is exactly how i feel exactly and even that i think my heart will win....i really enjoyed this!!!...Great write...:-) |
