Sitting at the table
My mind is lost in space eternal
Staring out the window at the birds
Enthralled that their tiny lives
Can have such vigor
Pink Floyd on the radio
Telling me "it's not what we would chose"
But I do chose life today
Just like the birds at my feeder
Pursuing life in the blistering cold
A universe that prefers chaos to order
Life seems a fortunate gift
While disorder assails on every front
Amidst this war we search for peace
Like birds in this frozen season
So here on this frigid day
With sonic bliss falling soft on my ears
I've chosen a life of happiness
Striving like the birds outside my window
Finding seeds of joy along the way

This looks like it's extremely deep. For a person whose sn looks something like the call of a Do-do bird, it's interesting.
Each stanza stands out remarkably in stark and profound relation. Very mind-working read.
Commendably done.
"Melancholy melodies and life's untimely end; Philantropist felonies shall mar the time we spend."
~The Palatine Poet |
