Was It My Fault?

Contributed by Maha on Wednesday, 4th September 2002 @ 06:36:48 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

To my ears, your voice was a melody,
To my heart, your love was a remedy.
When you were beside me, the world was mine.
When you were beside me, everything was fine.

But those warm true feelings have left me,
When you suddenly started to neglect me.
Now… I am unable to hear a melody anywhere.
And the wounds of my heart need your mild care.

Without you, I feel insecure, lonely, and useless.
Without you, my world is empty and worthless.
Was it me who failed to keep up the flame?
Do I deserve your silent careless blame?

If so, then let me show you my love once again,
But this time it will be without a selfish chain.
I will give you a love you never knew before,
And I will not complain if you ask for more.

But I still wonder, was it really me?
Who made your heart decide to flee?
Or was it YOUR choice to break my heart,
And dare to take the first step to depart?

Say it is you, and make things easy and clear,
I’ll leave you then, and try not to shed a tear.
If you’ve changed, I can’t help being me.
Sorry, I can’t teach you appreciating me.

Well written Maha, I can feel your hurt through your words... in my opinion, with a heart like the one you've shouwn us through this write, it couldn't have been you. Though that probably doesn't make the hurt any less... hpe you feel better soon.
