I thought that I could live without you,
And I pretended life was going fine for a while.
Then I saw you months later,
And for the first time, I truly smiled.
You have a way of affecting me,
And I may never know how so;
But when you’re around, things just are better,
And that’s a feeling I love to know.
I don’t understand what it is about you,
That just makes me feel so alive.
But since the moment that I knew you,
You gave me a reason to survive.
I miss the times we spent together,
I miss seeing you every day.
I miss upsetting you and cheering you up,
I miss the repetitive things you say.
And I can only wonder if you ever miss me,
Though I think you probably do not.
I don’t think you need me there for you,
In fact, I think it’s me you forgot.
I hate to admit it, but you’ve moved on;
I don’t think you need me anymore.
The only problem of this matter is,
I need now more than before.

Hey this was a good poem. I know exactly what it is you are talking about in this poem cause I have been fogotten and I have evn done the forgetting, but they didn't want me in thier life anyway. Sad that you are going through this too. Take it one day at a time. Excellent poem by the way. |
