Never Been Outside

I arrive home
You bury your head in my sweater,
I know what your doing,
It's not making you better.
Each time I've been out,
She does this to me,
Smelling the scents,
Of lifes reality.
The smokey day on my jumper,
And the perfumes in my hair,
Allow her to dream,
She's really been there.
So she'll continue,
Salvaging fake days,
From remnants of my own life,
In all different ways.
My sister's afraid,
Of going outside
Noone can convince her
There's no need to hide.

What a sad yet familiar piece. Haven't we all wanted to hide from the world? I am sorry that your sister hasn't had the experiances of love and brightness that the world can offer, I am also thankful that she has not experiance all the contrast to that bright world. Maybe someday she will over come this fear... maybe she was made to stay inside, only God knows her place. Bless you and peace be with you. -jason |

I know how she feels, and I can see the pain in my own mothers eyes because of this fear that holds us all back that im sure you too hold in your eyes. I hope your sister finds the courage to take that first step in getting better. |
