An Extraordinary Man
Some of my most vivid memories
Are of my dad and me
Doing the things father and sons do.
A busy man, with a lot of responsibilities
Taking a few minutes out
To be with his son.
He had a way of making
Even the most ordinary things
Seem special and interesting.
I could spend hours just watching him
Soaking in every movement, every word
Wanting to be just like him.
A superhero of sort
In my eyes he could do no wrong
Somehow he always lived up to that expectation.
An extraordinary man
With a gentle soul, who’s heart only softened
As his son grew up.

Awesome job. I'm my Dad's oldest Daughter and he's closer to me than my brother, so I know exactly what you mean. My dad has always been my "superhero". This is a most wonderful read, Thanks for expressing my feelings here. |
