Scream

Contributed by Fairy on Saturday, 31st January 2004 @ 07:08:30 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

With every breath that I take
Each decison I make,
I'm so much closer to the nothingness I believe
Deep within the troubled lies
And the screwed up games we tend to play,
Is a lonely girl,
Rejected and abused,
With no one to hold
Or a safe place to call home
She's foreign to the kindness of a lover's heart.
So here's this girl,
That no one wants to claim,
Or understand why she's got so many strange ways;
Why she's gotten a broken heart
That dissolves more and more each day;
or How she got scared, trapped into her usual ways,
And broke her lovers heart.
She still can't erase him from her dreams,
It saddens her to see the image of his face;
Reminds her of what she had
And what was taken from her...
She swears to herself, she will return one day
And fix the mistakes she once made
But this girl has hit rock bottom
And knows no one's going to be able to help her out,
She doesn't understand how the mind works
And why she can never accomplish anything,
Until then she'll just have to scream

Scream it, I'll scream with you, I've been screaming for a while now, it does tend to help. Damn time and consequences, you gain you lose, it's life, and life tends to be a hole. I hope that you get through this stage of your life and carry on. I thought this was a very truthful, personal poem that I too could relate to. Good going.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
