My Sweet Release

Contributed by Night_Child on Friday, 30th January 2004 @ 08:12:46 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Hurt time and time again
By so many people
This world has let me down

A loneliness that won't subside
The inevitable fate
Of the knife across my skin
I lack hope
The will to live

Slowly I die
But you are blinded
You cannot see
This young girl
Who has seen too much already
Felt too much

I'll crawl into the dark
Beaten by harsh words
Insane I must be
My thought are so mixed up

Too late
It's too late to be saved
I've fallen
Now I will wait for the sweet kiss of death
My sweet release from everything

I wanted to say I'm sorry.. reading this reminds me so much of myself that it's scary.. I know what it's like to only be able to get any feelings by cutting.. I think I started doing it because I was convinced I was numb to all emotions, except the torments I was feeling inside of my mind.. I wish I could take your pain away, no one, should have to feel this way.. trust me, there will be brighter days
