Slowly the tide of passion fade,
Replaced,
By that aching wound,
Which I again ….. embraced;
Your soul-shattering words
Are still echoes ….. echoes in my head,
So upon the backseat
Of friendship,
There quietly ….. I laid.
As the time flew by,
When my head
Starts to rise high,
Beside my ear I hear you sigh-
‘You are whom I think of
In the endless nights!’
What is the name?!
Of this little game!!
Tightly around your finger,
My pulse ….. is bound!
You say you cried
At what I said,
But don’t you know?
It’s the blood of my heart
That you shed!!
I am longing, I am hoping,
But it get only more ….. confusing!
I am lost in your words,
May be darling you ..... are my curse!

Absolutely captivating. The backseat of friendship - what a way to describe it.. Your pulse around her finger - good wording. Words can shed blood from your heart too you know. This was a truely excellent poem. Appealed to me 100 per cent. |
