I do not think you will remember me,
but I was her best friend, and I still see
her now and then. We reminisce how we
would talk all night and how much she loved you.
You never knew how much she hurt that day
you left, as she dropped to her knees to pray,
but cried for you instead. I have to say,
she would have gone through Hell and back for you.
She has been married now for many years.
Sometimes I think I catch her held back tears,
and if you scratch you'll find her many fears.
She loves children and yes, she has a few.
Her oldest son is very strong and wise,
and you should know, I think he has your eyes.
