Deceit (No One Ever Told Me)
No one ever told me,
It could hurt this bad.
Never saw it coming,
Never been so sad.
You took the air from my sail,
Busted my balloon.
Changed my song,
Into a different type of tune.
Destroyed my faith,
Obliterated my vision.
Damaged my hope,
With precise precision.
Laughed to my face,
Kicked me when down.
To think I once,
Wanted you around.
It’s difficult when you find,
Someone’s not what they seem.
It’s like your living,
In one big dream.
But lessons are learned,
My guards replaced.
Now please,
Get out of my face.
