A Friend Far Away

To find a friend so far away
Is both a blessing and a curse,
We laugh and cry, but cannot play,
But without you, life would be worse.
I hope our friendship means to you
As much as it has meant to me,
I'll always try to help you through
Whatever troubles there may be.
And even though you're far away
And many a mile keep us apart,
I still can smile through every day,
Because, my friend, you're close at heart.
