Six days are naught to wait for thee,
For our reunion brings us glee
of such as we've never known
As absence lengthens, my heart grows fonder,
I sit in silence, start to ponder
How to make my love better shown.
Six days are naught, so shed no tears,
Know not pain and feel not fear,
For soon again shall we meet.
Those six short days shall come and go,
And soon enough, we both shall know,
A reunion happy and sweet.
