PRETENDER
Dec 1, 03
I'm a skinny girl trapped In a fat girl's body I'm unhappy and unhealthy emotionally and physically
I'm tired of lying to everyone pretending to be happy and ok with everything I'm alone and fat and no one notices I'm dying my cries for help are unheard.
I'm stuck In this place called home really its hell on earth for me no one pays attention to my sadness how many times do I have to scream how many tears have to be shed for someone to give me that hand
I don't want to lie anymore I don't want to be your pretender anymore someone please see through my fake smile and see my cries no one even knows
No one I mean no one knows that I'm the pretender. I'm a skinny girl trapped in a fat girl's body I'm a happy girl trapped in a sad and dying body.

Oh Remi I could really feel what you were expressing in this poem. You are special and we all struggle with our self esteem. When I was a teenager I felt like a stork and always wanted to "look like everyone else". I thought I was so unattractive because I didn't look like a cookie cutter mold. Now that i'm all grown up i've come to realize that looking different isn't such a bad thing at all. I hope you find happiness, beauty will fade but that gold heart of yours is where the true beauty is and someone will love you for the inner you, they will. This poem just tore at my heart. Hang in there Remy. Kie |

Please do not take offense to this part. You are in truth the only one who can help yourself at first. Even if it is only telling another.
I think this poem was very powerful.
'I don't want to lie anymore I don't want to be your pretender anymore someone please see through my fake smile and see my cries no one even knows'
Those lines were very very powerful. Many go through that no matter what they are. Your life is in your hands all you must do is sieze it. If you can do that you can do anything else. |
