Altered

Contributed by ToriVeigh on Thursday, 29th January 2004 @ 08:15:43 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You know how much I love you
Whether you want to admit it or not
I’d love to prove my heart true
And keep for what we’ve fought

It’s killing me to have you near
And feel I can no longer touch
It’s me that you now fear
Seeing that hurts me so much

I want to say I love you
Even if you don’t reply in kind
I don’t want you to argue
And say it’s all in my mind

Your view of me has changed
For me, you may never feel the same
Yet I am unchanged
My love for you I still proclaim

My feelings, I’m sure of
I’m sorry for all you’ve endured
I’m still the same person you grew to love
It’s your perception of me that’s altered

I only hope that it won’t end
That you’ll once again draw near
My actions, I can’t defend
The loss of you is what I fear

Hey, I hope it all works out for you. May he see you again as he once did.
Take care.

Good write. I like how you word things. This seems rather sad though. I hope it gets better.
