JUST ANOTHER STATISTIC

Contributed by emystar on Thursday, 29th January 2004 @ 07:47:37 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

After love fell through,
wondering what to do.
Couldn't stick long enough
when going got rough.
Didn't stay there to see
wasn't good for you and me.
Walking past all pain
still feel rain.

Just another statistic left
laying on a court house shelf.
Soon waiting will be ore
no love forevermore.
Just another statistic left
laying on a court house shelf.
Severing all ties
suddenly realize
just another statistic left
laying on a court house shelf.

Never thought it would come
to living life alone.
Something happened, see?
No more you and me.
Thought it could last
couldn't get around past.
Soon papers make it final
severing ties and all.
Just another statistics left
laying on a court house shelf.

I think that you have turned truth into words.

I look back to yrs ago, when my mother and father were just anothe statistic case. It seems now-a-days, that love is all about that. Good poem, and so true...
