I could Wear your pain as a crown
Letting your poor spirits lift me up as eagle's wings
In your apathy I could drown
But I would rise back up as king
In your horror, your fear, I live
In your sorrow, your hate, i thrive
Come on...please....give
We've lived a little now let's die
I would say don't be scared, but I hate to lie
Let me feast upon your tears, let me be joyous
I'm waiting for you to cry
So I can continue to be soulless
Sympathy is wasted on a person like you
when there are people like me to feed
Let me come forth and speak the truth
Your pain is my one true greed

Wow! I absolutely LOVE this. *glares at lack of comments* anyway, fantastic. I'd like to say what I liked most about this --the gentle, kinda casual rhyming; the emotion threaded through it; the vivid imagery-- but, to be honest, I can't decide what I like best. I'll be sure to check out more of your poetry in the future.
