Eternity

Topic: oops

I shall be in eternity
Long before life shall perish,
When all that we cherish
Will turn to ash and dust
So we can no longer strive and lust
For immortality or material gain,
Or suffer our long felt pain.
Life's road must someday meet an end
No matter the rules we break or bend.
The future's foundation is set in stone-
Someday we must all walk alone
Into that dark night
Where our souls trickle with light
Absent of shape and form
Until we are once again re-born.
