Letting her go

Contributed by Shadow on Wednesday, 28th January 2004 @ 06:23:03 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Love is always hard on the heart
Most of all when you must part
To lose the one thing you hold dear
Even the strongest will shed a tear

I remember the first time we lay arm and arm
I cradled her softly soft from harm
The world around seemed to stop
On the day on that fields hill top

I remember the first time she saw the sea
She gave me a hug and ran to it in glee
She floated and swam till the sun did set in the sky
I swear she cried as we waved goodbye

Now it’s gone away in the light
I had to cry at such a sight
Sometimes I sleep upon here bed
I still can’t believe my baby is dead

Oh....
Such a beautiful write. I am so sorry....

I can somewhat sympatize. I just lost my father, but my Father in Heaven is taking care of me... may the LORD wrap His loving arms around you.

God's best I wish you,
Emily

Oh man what can I say this was good. Truly sad at the end. Was such a nice write with such a tragic ending. Sometimes sleeping on her bed is just something that I can understand you have to do too. Tragic when you lose someone. I can totally sympasize (Spl?) with you. A great write here.

You did manage to put you thoughts into words very well. Good poem. Sorry for your loss though.
