Like yesterday i felt your touch
and wished it was all real.
To long you left me here
to never come back,
leaving me to learn again
all that you helped heal.
My heart is so hollow,
even the memories of smiles
left without any grace.
Love created bruises and cuts
all over my soul.
Tears of yesterday when i held you close
haunt every breath i take.
Like yesterday i felt your touch
and wished it was real,
you brought back the fear
i couldn't remember.
