Sitting in the exam room is a daunting experience
Time ticking, mind racing
And if you're me
Voices yelling into oblivion
I tried so hard, poured out my soul
And yet you marked me down
Like I hadn't tried at all
Like I was just another failure
Do you realise how deep that mark
Cut into my soul?
Do you know how many of my dreams you destroyed with a sweep of the pen?
No
You don't and do you care?
No
As I write this tears flow down my cheeks
My dream is torn
My hope lies in shreds on the floor

Oh no !! Don't give up, maybe the examiner was having a bad day, do you remember what you wrote, analyze it and see if you can reword a few things and try it again. I'm doing a writers course and this is what they tell me to do, if you don't think you could've done any better don't despair examiners are not god, whats good to you and me is crap to someone else, beleive in your ability and carry on. Good poem.

Why is one persons opinion so important?
Believe in yourself...If you poured your heart into that write than it was exceptional because it was of you...don't let one persons opinion snuff out the fire in your soul..work on your dreams keep the passion burning

Are you sure you wrote clearly? Just because and examiner gave you a D- doesn't mean he knows good writing when he reads it. Or it might have been that you didn't put as much into it as you thought you did. Whatever the case, if you wrote like you did up there, then he must be twisted in the head or maybe he didn't like you. Don't give up on your dream. Never give up on something you want to do.

My teacher said a person's self-worth does not lie in one mark. Sure it hurts but it doesn't say who u are as a person. Keep that chin up.
