The Death of Romantism

Contributed by Romantism202 on Wednesday, 28th January 2004 @ 11:21:57 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Why is it that I receive ***** for him,
What did I do,
Who cooks and cleans for you,
Treats you like a queen,
And never shares your pleasure with others,

Why do you treat me like this,
For these problems you dream into existence,
My mind is what they like to bother,
In order to give your pleasure to another,
Even with my resistance,
Your lies are even more persistent,

Caressing my humorous bone,
As I laugh at your accusations,
For love has failed to your remind your memory,
Of my love; Life’s greatest sensation,

If I please your spot,
And fill your heart with joy,
How is it that I’m soft,
When I gave you two baby boys,

Is it that I’m really what you need,
Is it that it’s too good to believe,
Is it that you have never met a man,
Who possesses the best of both worlds,
Or does Oprah have other plans,

These questions you can’t seem to answer,
For you’re lost in your lies,
Trying to live someone else’s life,
While you slice through my heart like a knife,

I rub your feet when they are sore,
And give you love in abundance,
Loving your whole is always a pleasure,
For your love is complete,
The better half of my being,
Was created in the beauty that I’m seeing,

I romanticize your body like no one before,
With your gratitude screaming for more,
But these things aren’t enough,
For they even the score,

When I ask you why,
Confused answers always lead you to deny,
What really is inside,
And that is that you have lied,
About what you always wanted,
And that is a man like me,

Someone who will always be there,
Even with the world on your shoulders,
Someone who will give you his heart,
Even if it crumbles,

Someone who goes to the end of the earth,
To prove how much his love is worth,
Someone who knows love potential,
Someone who knows that your love is essential,

This is what you wanted all along,
But you were too afraid to tell me,
The one who wants a romantic man,
But gets scared when she has one in her grasp,

Be careful; Don’t let him get away,
For if you lose what you’ve sought after,
Running from your pretend problems,
And losing your happily ever after,

Just remember this important lesson,
For it can ruin lives,
Make husbands and wives,
And make a love lose its drive,

What is it that people don’t understand,
About how to recognize a good man,
When they come along,
Just grab their hand,
And be swept away to distant lands,
