No Tears

Contributed by shypoet_1986 on Wednesday, 28th January 2004 @ 10:34:32 AM in AEST
Topic: PoemsonBeauty

It had not touched me till i was alone,
After leaving your face, leaving the phone.
Just how meaningless is a photograph,
It doesn't cry like you, it doesn't laugh.

The open lens cannot seem to capture,
The sight i see to take me to rapture,
Trapped, for now in a cell of emulsion
it must escape and feed my compulsion.

Fixated on you made me realise,
Theres more to a face than mouth, nose and eyes,
It is no feature, just evident to me,
This wonderous thing by the name of true beauty.
