The Demon Smiles For Me

Contributed by sicknivesevered on Wednesday, 28th January 2004 @ 12:16:53 AM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

White - sheet
Black - pen
Bleeding - the paper
Bleeding - the PAPER
Touching
Flowing
Forming - the hollows
Shifting
Creating - the Nightmare
on PAPER

Its slowly changing me, from sad to just empty
Those sharp piercing eyes, and the grin that smiles wide
ITS ALL FALLING APART - MY LIFE IS FALLING APART
AND ALL THE PICTURE WANTS - IS TO INFECT MY HEART

Three - years
One - soul
Drawing - the demon
Drawing - the DEMON
Fixate
Compel
Tying - the cerebrum
Finding
Comfort
Embracing - the DEMON

It seems no matter what I do, it all comes back to you
But the demon smiles for me, and allows me to be free
I SHIFT MY OWN WORK - ONTO YOU DEAD, FRAMED EYES
BUT STILL THE DEMON NEEDS - TO CONTORT YOUR LIES
ALL MEMENTOS MUTILATED
ALL LETTERS INCINERATED
ALL PRESENTS DESECRATED
ALL MEMORIES INCARCERATED
AND ALL THOSE PHOTOS - THOSE PRETTY PHOTOS
A PROJECT OF CUT & PASTE - A SENSE OF LOVE AND WASTE
I DRAW YOU
I CUT YOU
I MASK YOU
I HATE YOU

DECAPITATION
You're always smiling

Its all fallen apart - My life has fallen apart
And all you ever wanted - Was to infect my heart
So I shift my own work - Onto your dead, framed eyes
But still the demon will never - Be able to erase your lies

(your lies)

I don't know if this is a bad thing or not but I can relate to the memories being incarcerated! this poem may be a little out there and creeppy but it appeals to my angry, malecious side!

I agree this one is a lil out there. But I can relate to some of it. I had the some of these same fellings when I spent a year as a member of the department of corrections. My demons seemed to be drawn everyday. Nice write, keep them coming.

Man... You just drew me in on that one and stabbed me repeatedly that was so awesome. I don't really know how to phrase that better but I really liked this write. It was just... Awesome.
