Maybe if you died,
I would be able to forgive you for leaving me.
I've never seen this situation so clear before.
I've never been so sober.
You weren't unique after all.
Just like the rest you left.
I'm not surprised anymore,
Still just down hearted.
I'm not alone,
I'm friends with my pain.
And I've got someone to count on,
- Me -
As my blood trickles down the drain.
And as the smoke clears in my garage.
I open my eyes.
I'm still alive.
My phone sits silent,
As I get more violent than I've ever become.
There was no tears there,
But God knows I needed them.
As the metre dropped,
There was no way I could have stopped that moment.
Angry blood had rushed to my head,
I have no excuses,
Only causes instead.
The tears still didn't come,
After I saw what I had done.
After that nothing had changed,
I was still the only one.
My face went into the crying position,
No tears came,
My voice quivered,
But no one was there to listen.
If you ever come back,
You'll find that I am not here,
Cause I finally shed a tear and carried on.

Nicely written Lg,this was pretty sad...It's true though that when you finally do shed that tear everything seems better, even if it isn't.You just feel like you let go of everything bottled up inside...I liked you poem, keep writing,

I think this was an incredibly good and powerful write. It was very well written and I could fully relate. Nicely done. |
