You seem so distant and detached from me
Or did I dream that warmth in your eyes
as you looked into mine?
Your eyes would surround me,
with a cocoon of softness.
And I would hate to tear away from your gaze.

Now, I see nothing but emptiness,
stretching between us.
Will I ever see that look in your eyes,
which my soul hungers for?

Very good write. I can relate to this. Seems even when we are 2 feet away from someone, it feels like we are 2 states away. Good write, keep them coming.
