How could it have been
That was sent to us
To cleanse away sin and hatred
Was one Child
One mere Child
Purified of hatred and pain
To show us how to live
To show us how to love
To save us all?
How could it have been
That was sent to us was a Child
One mere Child
To love one and all
Rich or poor
To show us our need
For His goodness and light?
How did we deserve
To be able to even say
That this mere child
Loved us so much He paid the price for us
And saved us all?

Deserve it? Naw, we never could. Good thing, grace, isn't it?
Take care.

mind boggling. something nice to know though... such comfort because of that one less-than-mere child.

Really hard to tell, isn't it? I say let the child live and the rest of us die. Because He probably wasn't worth it. |

I have felt this same incredible wonder, awe, and amazement. Once it becomes personal, you can't help but feel that. It is so humbling and uplifting at the same time. Wonderful description of this feeling.
