...And Just Like The Movies (We all Play our...)(Part1)

Contributed by TaintedOptomist on Monday, 26th January 2004 @ 03:22:56 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

she graced the stage
sophisticated
like an old black and white movie
dazled the croud
with a single smile
her romeo entered the room
and the love story was set
they laughed and danced
under the pale moonlight
after candle light dinners

but thier laughter turned
to screams
as they always do bad went to worse
this love story
turned to something from
the mind of poe
no rages to riches
no knight in shining armor
just a boy and a girl

You write well. I like this, it is better than your later stuff. I guess this site got to you in the end. it doesn't have to stay that way though. don't try to write what people want or play games with them. write what you feel and the words will come.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
