Fate

Topic: DarkPoetry

As the blow lands
I'm no longer there
Looking down on myself
I'm up in the air

I see the impact
I see myself fall
As I hit the ground
I hear myself bawl

I see you look at me
With anger in your face
You grab me and start walking
And I try to keep pace

We walk for a minute
And reach the hall
I try to keep up
But stumble and fall

You kick me then
In the side of my head
I try to stand up
But I feel like lead

You pick me up and throw me
And I hit the door
My head starts spinning
As I fall to the floor

Over and over
The blows start to land
I touch my face
See the blood on my hand

As the world turns dark
I know it's too late
The man hitting me
Has decided my fate

I assemble articles for posting on transgender yahoogrops. One of the current threads we're following is the trial of a murder in Hayward, CA, in 2002: Gwen's alledged killers beat her with fists and bricks for two hours before hitting her over the head with a shovel to ensure she was dead.

This poem brings up those emotions of helplessness and anger....who the hell are these abusers to do such evil without an expectation of retribution? Does the retribution never come?

Well, your poem hit a nerve in me, eh? I feel your poem is very well written.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
