For a thousand years
I died and slept
Yet for all of my tears
I know you never wept
For all I’ve ever known
For all you’ve never shown
For all words unsaid
I know it’s going away
A thousand times I died
A million tears that fell
So many years ago
I lost my soul to you
You took it all from me
With a sadistic smile
Plastered across your face
Now I see the setting sun
It calls to me in its shadow
Tasted the insanity
So blissful in the dark
Now I cut my throat
Screaming out those names
Knowing all my life is failed
Loving only this blade
Kissing my flesh
With cold little kisses
Soft and gentle
No matter how deep
The only thing that has
Always loved me
In my life
Is what takes it
In the end.

That one is definately a "goosebumperedy" one.....felt them all through the whole poem.
The places you take my mind Jeff....and then just leave me there......what a great write you just created......Raven's Sin will be a Lair for poets of all kinds to read!

you know for a dark poem i liked it alot you do have away of drawing the reader in and then just leaving us you are such a great poet
