Inside the mind of misery

Contributed by Disenchanted_Poet on Monday, 26th January 2004 @ 02:03:16 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Inside this mind of misery,
Pain and anger everday,
Inside the thoughts I see,
Hate and anguish everyday.

Do the deaf hear their own screams?
Can the blind see their dreams?
Does a lonely heart still smile?
Do the broken down think about the next mile?

Inside the mind of misery,
In lies this serious mystery,
Who do you expect me to be,
When inside this mind you continue to judge me.

Why do the powerful look down on the weak?
Why do the strong continue to hurt the meak?
Why do the rich brush aside the poor?
Why do the dying wonder what they are living for?

At this moment I am not trying,
To show them who I am,
Why can't they see they are only denying?
They don't know me, they will never understand.

Misery is the mother with no child,
Misery is the father with no son,
Misery to some seems mild,
Misery to others replaces fun.

We all live in misery one time or another,
Maybe it was the loss of a friend,
Maybe the loss of a lover,
Why does misery never seem to end?
