masquerade

Contributed by Ldy_Tryst_Vampyrre on Sunday, 25th January 2004 @ 11:20:10 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

everything is fake and broken
no emotion within me now
nothing but darkened hallways and silenced tears
closed doorways and hidden fears

nothing makes sense to me now
shattered windows, bloodied hands
crouched in corners...
afraid to speak
or even to stand

speech is lost to me now
conversation proved to be a chore
whispers all around me
mere lies awaiting to be told

haunted by my own doubt
my own bleak ignorance
engulfed in the crowd

how i long to shriek and break this
horrid fate that has captured me now

forever gone
because i was already lost
forever gone
since i was never searched for
or wanted...needed..

alone again.....

how long will this last?...

This was very good. I liked it. It just spoke right to me. Nicely done.
