Hope is lost to some
We march along to the drum
Darkness is our only friend
Our broken heart times doesn’t mend
Hope is but a happy thought
No matter how much we fought
We lost it all on this day
In the darkness in silence we lay
Alive or dead I have shame
I’m the only one I blame
And if this solemn night I die
I swear to you best not cry
I wasted my years all away
For my soul do not pray
However the price is set
I will pay my heavy debt
I pray to good you remember this day
Don’t cast into the abyss astray
Shackle my soul if I should die
I know I’m not bound for the sky

I'm sorry to hear Shadow that you have no hope
For hope is what keeps our soul living and vibrant and able to cope!
This was a beautifully written poem.....because it was meant to be sad and lamenting......but I certainly hope you are not meaning for it to have this ending!
Please hang on.....tomorrow is another day
I pray some goodness will come your way

LIFE IS PRETTY BORING WITHOUT LAUGHTER,& EVEN HARDER TO LIVE, HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
