How vital is my existence?
What is my significance?
The truth of my inception,
An odyssey divine,
A world, which belonged to me,
I lived like a water baby,
Chuckled in my translucent placenta,
Nature’s cushioning of flesh and blood,
That world of mine …my beautiful world,
A place where I would talk with God,
This place where He would answer me,
And I would hear the angles sing,
The intangible gifts they’d often bring,
The breeze from heaven would put me to sleep,
The mututinal prayers would awaken me,
And I would weep when I mother would weep,
Her worst fears had shaken me,
My kicking and wiggling,
This birth of consciousness,
In my mother’s womb,
I was but a sperm and egg,
A drop of mere congealed blood,
A living being inside a living being,
Transfiguring every week, all the time,
Indeed I was a miracle quite divine,
And when I made my debut in the worldly air,
I saw beyond the streak of the seventh horizon,
That God had opened another chapter,
While sealing the pages of another book,
Safely drinking the sweetest milk,
Asleep at my mother’s breast,
Feeling the warmth of my father’s arms,
How Byzantine was my making,
How unearthly was my genesis.
